Day 5: Castries, St. Lucia
We thought St. Lucia was the most beautiful island of the trip. We took a full day tour of the island. We stopped at Anse la Raye and Canaries, two fishing villages. We also drove through a banana plantation. We stopped at Diamond Botanical Gardens and saw the beautiful waterfall. Then we continued to Soufriere and the drive-in volcano. We learned a lot of great information about the volcano! After all of these great sights, we boarded a catamaran for an island lunch and sail back to Castries. We stopped to swim and snorkel at Anse Cochon. Along the way, we had some amazing views of the Pitons. My pictures don't do them justice! Our captain made a special trip past the Pitons as we were leaving, so we got another look close to sunset.
